CoBond Protect - Wear and abrasive resistant coatings

There are a number of wear mechanisms which can reduce the working life of your machine’s metallic components. Actions such as vibration, sliding, friction, fretting, fatigue and erosion will result in the general wear and tear on these components.

We are able to provide alternative products and solutions to reduce your component wear problems. This includes the application of our wear and abrasive resistant coatings to greatly reduce friction and improve the lifespan of your components. It may also involve our specialist bonding techniques for the bonding of a harder substrate (for example ceramic tiles) which will endure the impacts and wear created by abrasive materials.

Corrosion of components through chemical and environmental factors can severely degrade the life expectancy of your components. Corrosion degrades the useful properties of materials and structures.

This includes the application of our corrosion resistant coatings which provide a superior barrier to reduce the effects of corrosion and greatly reduce your costs.

CoBond Protect - Anti-friction coatings
In addition to our wear and abrasive resistant and corrosion resistant coatings, CoBond has a coating that provides anti-friction, self lubricating properties in addition to wear resistance.

This is designed for use in tanks, rail and road trucks, hoppers and material handling systems where  ‘hang up’, or material build up causes time, weight or productivity problems. The self lubricating properties prevent material from sticking in corners or building up on surfaces, therefore increasing discharge volume while decreasing blockages, maintenance and clean up time.
